You may have read my previous articles about Fun With MyMiniCity Part I and Part II. This time I’ll show you how to implement the script to your Blog Engine. This script support all engine that enable you to insert / edit HTML Code. Works on Blog Spot and WordPress. Tested on Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.11 and Internet Explorer 6. You may try this on any other browser and blog engine. If you don’t mind, you may dr0p a message here for me regarding what other blog engines and browsers that this script support. Here is how to implementing the script :
This is the myminicity hack / cheat script that will create timed pop up.

Easy isn’t it? hehhe. For your convenience, you may download the script here.
You may put this script on widget if you are using WordPress. Here are the steps :
- Open your WP DashBoard
- Click on Presentation Tab
- Click on Widgets
- Scroll down until you see Text Widgets, and select 2 if you haven’t used this before. Save
- Drag the Text2 from Available Widgets to Sidebar 1
- Click on the Text2 Configure Button and paste all the script above to it.
- Click Save. Jobs done!
Remember to edit YOUR_minicity_URL to your minicity

@Zoiz: Your trick is still not 100% functional, because popupblockers in browsers prevent to open javascript window WITHOUT some user event.

Yups, sometimes my trick blocked. BUUUUUT, It’s AUTOMATIC! Let’s say that the blocked chance is 50%, so if you have a 1000 unique visitors blog, and you use my script, you can get 500 populations added to your minicity. Right? You get my point? And now I am trying to bypass pop up blocker, and make it works WITHOUT any user CLICKS! If you need user to click it, WHO would wants to CLICK it IF they know, once they clicked, they got the source code that STILL NEED other users to CLICK in order to make it WORKS? Lol
I know your trick works, but STILL, as I said. It’s not practical. Nobody would click if he/she know that he/she will get an unpractical script dude

Why I made it automatically closed in 3,5 seconds is I knew that pop up is annoying. So closed it after the jobs is done will be a good solution
OF course, the using the same way putting it in your web pages.
